Acknowledgments

The completion of the project "Unravelling the Fresco" would not have been possible without the professional work of many stakeholders and the involvement of numerous partners and collaborators. Our team consisted of dynamic individuals aiming for excellence in the performance of their duties relating to the project. They worked together for about a year to put this Web site on line in July 2009 and to promote it through various means. It should be known that much effort was expended to build a quality Web site that contains varied content laden with information about life in the lands and forests of Acadia. In order to make it possible a significant number of volunteer hours and in-kind services were also rendered by members of the team.

Elements which need to be noted that were necessary for the realization of the project: the supervision and confidence of the Société historique du Madawaska, as well as the availability of photographs and negatives from their Studio Laporte Collection and articles from some issues of the Revue de la Société historique du Madawaska; the availability of two professors and a librarian, the services of some employees as well as access to a meeting room at the University of Moncton, Edmundston campus; the consent to use the mural and the granting of access to additional workspace from the City of Edmundston.

Lastly, it must be emphasized that our team is very grateful for the monetary contribution from Canadian Culture Online (CEC) and for the involvement of its staff before and during the course of the project. Without them, the project would not have been possible. A very special thank-you to Mrs. Elena Oprisanu of the CEC, who managed our project and who made certain to answer our questions and our needs during the creation of our project.

A special thank you to each member of the team because each made my work easier and very pleasant.
